Welcome to BlocEasy ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service provides informational insights related to neighborhoods, buildings, and locations, including but not limited to crime statistics, registered sex offender proximity, 311 building complaints, environmental hazards (such as Superfund sites), and estimated commute times.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Data may be delayed, misclassified, incomplete, outdated, or subject to reporting biases. Boundaries, distances, counts, categorizations, and visualizations are approximate and provided for convenience only.
3. Crime and Public Safety Information
Crime-related information (including homicides, shootings, and other reported incidents) is derived from publicly available records and reflects reported incidents only. The Service:
- Does not predict future crime
- Does not reflect unreported or misreported incidents
- Does not imply that any individual, building, or neighborhood is unsafe
Crime data may be influenced by reporting practices, enforcement levels, and data collection methodologies.
4. Registered Sex Offender Information
Information related to registered sex offenders is sourced from public registries. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Registry data may be incomplete, outdated, or subject to legal limitations
- Individuals listed may no longer reside at a given location

The Service does not endorse harassment, discrimination, vigilantism, or misuse of this information. Use of registry-related information must comply with all applicable laws.
5. Building Complaints (311) Information
311 complaint data reflects complaints submitted, not verified violations. The presence, volume, or type of complaints:
- Does not necessarily indicate unresolved issues

- May include duplicate, resolved, or unfounded reports
6. Environmental and Superfund Site Information
Environmental hazard information, including Superfund sites, is provided for general awareness only. You acknowledge that:
- Proximity to a site does not imply exposure or risk
- Cleanup status and risk levels may change over time
- Only qualified environmental professionals can assess actual risk
You should consult official government sources and qualified experts for environmental or health-related concerns.
7. Commute Time Estimates
Commute times are estimates only and may be based on assumptions such as typical traffic, transit schedules, or routing algorithms. Actual commute times may vary due to:
- Time of day
- Traffic, delays, or service disruptions
- Route changes
- Weather or special events
We do not guarantee that any estimated commute time is achievable or typical.

13. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
a. Mandatory Binding Arbitration
Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court or where either party seeks injunctive or equitable relief for the unlawful use of intellectual property, you and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court.
The arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis by a single arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), including its Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by these Terms. The arbitration will take place in New York, New York, unless the parties agree otherwise.
b. Waiver of Jury Trial
YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY for any claims covered by this arbitration agreement.
c. Class Action and Representative Action Waiver
YOU AND WE AGREE THAT ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITIES ONLY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not otherwise preside over any form of a class, collective, or representative proceeding.
d. Severability
If any portion of this Section 13 is found to be unenforceable, the unenforceable portion shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, it shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York.
